GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Wisconsin’s senators are recommending two people for a vacant federal judgeship based in Green Bay.
Republican Sen. Ron Johnson and Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin sent their recommendations to President Joe Biden on Thursday.
The senators recommended Marc Hammer, currently a Brown County circuit court judge, and Byron Conway, an attorney with Habush Habush & Rottier.
The senators say the candidates were recommended by the bipartisan Wisconsin Federal Nominating Commission.
Any federal judge must be nominated by the president and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
