GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Aspiro now has a new fleet of buses after a fire destroyed theirs in February.
The buses are essential to get Aspiro’s clients to jobs, appointments and activities.
Two of the busses are new, one was previously owned. Two more busses are on the way.
Nicole Hoffman, vice president of development at Aspiro, says one of the busses is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
“This makes it possible for anybody who comes to Aspiro to go on the field trip, to go on the business tour, to go out and explore the community,” said Hoffman.
The nonprofit agency, which helps people with disabilities, needed four new buses, with it costing an estimated $500,000.
The community stepped up and donated funds to cover the cost.
