APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) — The Appleton Christmas Parade holds the distinction of being the largest nighttime Christmas Parade in the Midwest, and draws about 80 thousand spectators each year.
“This year’s theme is ‘Peace on Earth’” said Eric Stadler, Assistant Chairperson for Appleton Parade Committee. “We feel with so many different things pulling us in different ways, that this theme really fits the need to promote peace on Earth.”
New additions to the parade this year include the UW-Oshkosh Titan Thunder Marching Band, Water Board Warriors Water Ski Show, and the Twin Track World Vintage Snowmobile Unit.
As always, Santa and Mrs. Clause will close out the parade.
The parade in downtown Appleton begins on November 22 at 7 p.m.
