SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Shawano County man is charged with strangling a woman.
Michael Ingold, 57, faces one charge of first-degree intentional homicide, domestic abuse.
Ingold made an initial court appearance Monday, where a $1 million cash bond was set. He returns to court Aug. 12 for a status conference.
According to the criminal complaint, Ingold called police on June 25 to report the woman’s death.
An autopsy showed her injuries were consistent with “manual strangulation.”
In several interviews with police, Ingold denied being responsible for the death, even though they were the only two people in the town of Wescott house at the time.
