The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers took two out of three from the Peoria Chiefs in their season opening series this weekend. After winning the opener 7-6 in walk off fashion Friday, Saturday’s game was postponed so the teams played a Sunday doubleheader. In the opening game, the Chiefs scored a 1-0 victory holding Wisconsin to just a pair of hits over the seven innings. The Rattlers committed three errors in the game including one that led to the only run. The nightcap had a dramatic finish as Wisconsin won 3-2, getting a one out, walk off, two run single from Tyler Black in the bottom of the 7th. The Timber Rattlers will take Monday off before hitting the road for the first time opening a series in Beloit on Tuesday.
