GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – In Green Bay, Andres Garcia-Saenz is charged with first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly stabbing Douglas Campbell 175 times.
According to the criminal complaint, after a March 17, 2020 welfare check police found Campbell’s body and the Traeger Street home appeared to have been ransacked.
The investigation led them to Garcia-Saenz. At his residence, they found Campbell’s clothing, credit cards, ID, shoes, and other items. He repeatedly denied any involvement in the murder, and offered varying explanations for his time at Campbell’s home and why he had Campbell’s possessions. DNA test results show samples likely from both Garcia-Saenz and Campbell on the handle of a bloody hammer found at the scene.
A week-long trial is scheduled before Judge Marc Hammer.
In Oshkosh, Erice Grady is charged with first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly shooting Deshawn Davis.
Grady allegedly shot and killed Davis April 27, 2021 during an incident on Greenwood Court. Police have said Grady and Davis have mutual acquaintances but did not say why the shooting happened.
A week-long trial is planned before Judge Daniel Bissett.
In both cases, a conviction on the first-degree intentional homicide charge would result in an automatic life prison sentence, with the judge deciding if and when the defendant could first ask for parole.
