GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay is one of three finalists to host the 2024 NFL Draft., and that event could have a huge regional impact.
Discover Green Bay’s Brad Toll has an idea as to just how much of an impact it would have.
“The economic impact would probably be in the area of $100 million, I would guess,” said Toll. “This would be our Super Bowl.”
That’s as much as almost an entire season’s worth of home games at Lambeau Field, each of which brings around $15 million to the region.
“It would be a tremendous opportunity and a tremendous honor to host an event of that magnitude,” Toll said Wednesday.
We should know which of the three finalists, which also include Washington D.C. and Detroit, are awarded the draft after the NFL’s league meeting at the end of the month.
