Fife’s Furballs! Meet Summer!

Summer has been with Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue since August of last year and has had little to no adoption interest. Our shy girl has made incredible progress since being with us and continues to search for her forever home!

Summer has had quite the journey. She was rescued in Texas, found laying lifeless on the side of the road after being hit by a car. After a rough recovery, Summer had miraculously pulled through. She suffered some head trauma, fractures and lacerations. Despite her horrific past, Summer is happy, healthy dog who will make a wonderful companion.

Summer is almost a year old and is full grown at about 35 pounds. Though she can be a little reserved when meeting new people, she has a sweet and loving demeanor. Summer absolutely adores dogs and is most confident with the help of a four legged friend. She has been around older children and has proven to be gentle and nurturing, but sudden movements and loud noises make her anxious, so we recommend a home without small children. We are unsure how she would do with cats, but we can arrange a cat test upon request. Summer is learning to be calm when she is left alone, and has made a lot of progress in her crate. She loves going for walks and is always up for an adventure. Summer would benefit from an adopter who has patience and is willing to help her continue to blossom.
