NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Face masks will temporarily be required for all students, staff and visitors at Neenah High School.
In a letter sent to families Wednesday, the Neenah Joint School District said masks will be required during the school day beginning Thursday and continuing through at least Jan. 14.
According to the letter, the district’s protocols require masks if at least 2% of students at a specific school have COVID-19. The high school reached the 2% threshold on Wednesday.
The district is asking families to help reduce the spread of the virus by having their child tested if they come in close contact with someone who tests positive. The district also encourages tests for students who experience symptoms.
Neenah High School will return to optional masking on Jan. 18, pending a decrease in cases. Masks remain optional for all other schools in the district as of Wednesday.
