GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A kitchen fire has caused one person to be hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
The owners of the home at 1904 Deckner Avenue called Green Bay Metro Fire Department when they came home to find their house filled with smoke from a fire that had started in the kitchen area.
When GBMFD arrived on scene, the fire was already out and the house was cleared of smoke.
Two residents were treated on scene for smoke inhalation, and one was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
Two dogs and two cats were also treated for smoke inhalation on scene and then taken for additional medical attention.
None of the residents were home at the time the fire started.
The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage to the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
