APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton police have made an arrest following an investigation into a shooting that occurred last month.
Police say William D. Hayes, 18, was arrested Thursday in Oshkosh. Charges of recklessly endangering safety, attempted armed robbery, burglary while armed, and disorderly conduct with a weapon have been referred to the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office.
On July 17, officers were called to a home in the 900 block of W. Lawrence Street for a report of a shooting. Investigators determined that an illegal drug transaction occurred, resulting in a single shot fired. No one was injured.
