GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A mass cookout was held to recognize the employees at a Green Bay Nursing home.
The event was organized by PRN Home health and Therapy. They set up a fun afternoon of tailgating and cooking out for the employees and residents of Grancare Nursing Center.
The cookout served to give residents a larger social event and recognize nurses for their work during the pandemic.
“Our residents, we call them neighbors here, that live here,” said Brittany Cobb, Grancare Nursing Center administrator. “They were very isolated. They didn’t have any visits from family and friends for about a year. So we’re finally able to start bringing people back, and they’re able to get out and about a little more.”
PRN Home Health and Therapy also made stops at St. Francis Home, Waupun Christian Home and Anna John Nursing Home.
