APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Nov. 9 trial date was set Wednesday for a Kaukauna murder suspect.
Dontae Payne, 26, and Tanya Stammer, 29, are charged with first-degree intentional homicide and armed robbery for the death of Brian Porsche at a home on W. Division Street on March 30.
Payne has pleaded not guilty. The Nov. 9 trial is scheduled to last four days.
Stammer has been found not mentally competent to stand trial. She returns to court Aug. 16 for a review hearing.
According to the criminal complaint, Payne and Stammer targeted Porsche, with Payne allegedly shooting Porsche. The two then tried to make the scene look like a robbery, and tossed his phone & keys into Lake Winnebago.
