GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Two Northeast Wisconsin congressmen will vote to oust Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney from Republican party leadership, if and when a vote comes to pass.
Republican Congressmen Tom Tiffany and Glenn Grothman both appeared on WTAQ’s ‘The Regular Joe Show”, sharing similar thoughts on Cheney’s outspoken criticism of former President Donald Trump.
“Liz Cheney just can’t shut up about cutting down Donald Trump,” Grothman told host Joe Giganti. “And at a time where we should be focusing on all the horrible things Joe Biden is doing.”
Tiffany says the problem with Cheney isn’t just her criticism of Trump, but her leadership style.
“I usually expect conference leadership to give us at least a couple sides to the story,” said Tiffany.
Tiffany took particular issue with the speakers Cheney invited to speak in front of the conference, specifically on the coronavirus issue, saying that she invited speakers that were “more along the lines of [Dr. Anthony] Fauci.”
Grothman says it’s likely that New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, generally seen as a moderate, will get the conference leadership job if and when Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, is ousted.
