OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – An Omro man who allegedly killed his wife and a witness pleaded not guilty Friday.
Andrew Clark faces two counts of first-degree intentional homicide for deaths of his wife, Melissa, and Lavar Wallace, on Oct. 21.
No trial date was set. He returns to court April 5 for a status conference.
Clark is not the only person charged in the case.
Michael Draine is charged with one count of aiding a felon for allegedly helping Andrew Clark. Prosecutors say he was at the home that night, and allegedly helped Clark try to cover up the murders. He returns to court May 19 for a plea hearing.
The four went to a night club and returned to the Clark’s home. Draine heard the Clarks arguing in another room, then a gunshot. When he entered that room, Melissa Clark had been shot and Andrew Clark was holding the gun. Clark allegedly later shot and killed Wallace, according to the criminal complaint.
