MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK)– After record-breaking numbers in new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, the DHS is reporting 3,493 new cases on Sunday.
The positive case percentage on Sunday is 19.3% and the seven-day case average on Sunday is 4,385, according to the DHS.
Health officials are reporting 16 new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to 2,047.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 2,070,068 people tested, 228,863 positive cases, and 1,841, 205 negative results.
Wisconsin hospitals are reporting to the DHS that 1,697 hospital beds are immediately available out of the 11,065 total beds.
There are 1,502 COVID-19 patients receiving hospital care with 349 of those patients in the ICU.
The state has a supply of 2,319 ventilators with 498 in use.
