MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The state reported five additional COVID-19 deaths Tuesday.
Health officials reported 263 new positive COVID-19 cases after 11,531 test results were gathered.
The 263 new positive results accounts for 2.2% of Tuesday’s gathered results.
Since the start of the pandemic, Wisconsin has had 478,165 negative test results, 25,331 positive cases and a total of 750 deaths.
The state Department of Health Services considers 19,852 people to have recovered. That remains around the 78% mark.
Wisconsin hospitals say they are caring for 240 patients with confirmed cases of COVID-19, six fewer than on Monday. Of those, 93 are in intensive care units, unchanged since Monday. Another 142 people are awaiting their test results.
There are 1,259 ventilators in Wisconsin, with 287 in use, two fewer than on Monday.
Of the 11,383 hospital beds in Wisconsin, 2,555 are available.
