“Flight Angel” is a term I’ve never heard until this story, but it’s very fitting:
Recently a 96-year-old woman was very nervous on a flight as she was flying alone and doing it for the first time in 15 years.
Lucky for her, she was seated next to a young man who comforted her by holding her hand during takeoff and even gently hugged her when she became nervous during turbulence – describing to her what was happening and calming her.
His compassion didn’t end there though, as upon landing he insisted on holding her bag, helping her into a wheelchair and staying with her until her daughter arrived to pick her up from airport.
I wouldn’t be telling you about this if it wasn’t caught by passengers and one in particular who was moved to tears by the kindness shown by the young man.
