In a day filled with drama, the Superior Spartans reached the first girls state championship in school history by beating Mukwonago 51-49 in the Division 1 semifinal. UW Green Bay recruit Jessica Lindstrom got fouled on an offensive rebound and calmly dropped two free throws with 0.8 of a second left for the difference. Lindstrom finished with 20 points and 18 rebounds on the night. Mukwonago was denied a trip to the title game for the second year in a row at the Resch Center. Their Green Bay recruit, Brea Cera poured in 20 points for the Indians. Superior will meet Oak Creek in the title game Saturday night. Oak Creek ended Kimberly's undefeated season with a 46-40 overtime victory.
