(WNFL)- The Class-"A" Midwest League returns to action tonight after a three-day All-Star break. All 16 teams are back to even, as the second half of the season gets underway. The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, which missed a first-half playoff spot by two games, will open the new round of play at Burlington. The Beloit Snappers, last in the West to start the year, will get a fresh start at home against Clinton. Beloit did itself proud at Tuesday night's Midwest League All-Star Game. Snappers' outfielder Boog Powell was the game's MVP, and Beloit starter Kyle Finnegan was the winning pitcher in the West's 7-nothing rout of the East.
