MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - You may be turned off by ominous political ads -- but the Milwaukee Brewers hope you'll laugh at theirs.

The Brewers have produced campaign-style TV ads, hoping you'll vote for catcher Jonathan Lucroy and center fielder Carlos Gomez to start for the National League in the All-Star Game in Minneapolis on July 15th.

The ads are now on YouTube. They're complete with slow motion sleaze and attacks on the players ahead of Lucroy and Gomez in the fan voting.

In the latest vote totals this week, Lucroy was a distant third behind front-running Yadier Molina of St. Louis. His ad asks, "Do you want another St. Louis Cardinal to star in an All-Star Game?"

Gomez is in a close 4th for one of the three starting outfield spots. His ad points out that none of last year's outfield starters were true center fielders like Gomez.

Oh, and you won't have to worry about vote fraud. Each e-mail account lets you vote 25 times at each position - so you can vote early and often at Brewers.Com and MLB.Com. The voting ends July 3rd.
