It came down to the slimest of margins. Mequon Homestead captured the Boys' Division 1 State Golf Championship at University Ridge in Verona by a single shot over Green Bay Notre Dame. The Highlanders shot 618 over two days while the Tritons scored 619, almost making up a five shot deficit over the final 18 holes. Notre Dame actually had a four shot lead heading to the final hole but the Tritons all bogeyed the 18th while Homestand managed three pars and a bogey to claim the title. Notre Dame's 306 score on the second day was the best among all Divison 1 teams. Connor O'Neil shot an even par 72 on Tuesday to lead the Tritons, finishing at 149, tied for 8th. The D1 Medalist was Kaylor Steger of Oak Creek who fired rounds of 68-72 for a 142 total. In Division 2, Waukesha Catholic Memorial rallied past Madison Edgewood on the second day for the championship. Sheboygan Falls came in third. Chris Colla of Winnebago Lutheran was medalist and individual champion among all divisions with a 68-72, 4 under par total of 140. Lancaster captured the team title in Division 3 by 23 shots over Osseo-Fairchild with Thomas Longbella of McDonnell Central medaling at 142.
