OK, maybe Ed Sheeran didn't win a Grammy, but he's still invited to perform at prestigious events.  He's just joined the lineup of a series of charity shows scheduled to take place in March at London's legendary Royal Albert Hall.

The annual benefits shows, which raise money for the charity Teenage Cancer Trust , generally run over several days.  OneRepublic was the first act confirmed; they'll rock the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday, March 27.  Ed will perform March 24, and "special guests" are promised during his slot.

Other acts this year include Scottish singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini , '80s New Wave legends The Cure and '90s alt-rockers Suede .  There's also an evening of comedy scheduled. So far, OneRepublic is the only American group on the bill.

Roger Daltrey , the lead singer of the legendary British rock band The Who , is the charity's patron. He says, "This is our fourteenth year at the Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust...the money raised is invaluable in helping young people with cancer, and in return for the public's hard earned cash we put on some very special shows."

The money the charity raises goes to take care of the special needs of teenage and young adult cancer patients by providing special hospital units designed with them in mind.  Teenage Cancer Trust also supports research, support services and education related to the disease.
