(WNFL) - The Edmonton Oilers acquired goaltender Ben Scrivens from the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday, after sending goalie Devan Dubnyk to the Nashville Predators. The Oilers sent a third-round pick in this year's draft to the Kings for Scrivens, who has appeared in 51 games for Toronto and Los Angeles in the past three seasons. Earlier, they sent Dubnyk to Nashville in exchange for forward Matt Hendricks. Dubnyk struggled to an .894 save percentage and 3.36 goals-against average in 32 games for the Oilers this season, including 29 starts. He began losing starts when the team signed Ilya Bryzgalov in November and said Wednesday the trade "hasn't really set in," according to the Oilers. Scrivens posted a .931 save percentage and 1.97 goals-against average in 19 games for the Kings this season. He saw a lot of time in the net while Jonathan Quick was out with a groin injury.
