(WNFL) - For the second week in a row, Keifer Sykes of U-W Green Bay was named the Horizon League men's basketball player-of-the-week. It's the fifth time this season that the junior guard was chosen for the league's weekly honors. Sykes had 21 points and nine assists in Green Bay's win at Chicago State. He then scored 34 points with eight rebounds and five assists yesterday in Green Bay's overtime victory at U-W Milwaukee. Meanwhile, U-W-M guard Sydney Snower was named today as the Horizon women's freshman of the week. Snower had 11 points off the bench on Saturday, when Milwaukee ended a 17-game losing streak to Green Bay. Snower went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in that game.
