"Frozen" Sets Record for Most Weeks at #1 by a Soundtrack Since "Titanic"

The #1 spot on the Billboard album chart seems Frozen in place.  The soundtrack to the Oscar-nominated Disney film has returned to the top spot once again, meaning it's now logged a total of five non-consecutive weeks there.  A movie soundtrack hasn't had that many weeks at #1 since 1998, when Titanic spent a whopping 16 weeks on top of the chart.

Of course, the soundtrack to Titanic had the benefit of a massive hit single, Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On."  Frozen has its own hit single, "Let It Go," which hasn't climbed quite as high on the charts, but it has gone platinum, selling over 1.2 million copies.  The soundtrack itself has also gone platinum.  Idina Menzel , who voices the role of Elsa in Frozen , will perform "Let It Go" at the Academy Awards, which air this Sunday, live on ABC.
