19 straight for Knights

It's 19 and counting for the St. Norbert Green Knights mens basketball team.   The Knights defeated Ripon on the road 78-62 to keep it's school record winning streak alive.  Andrew Schwoerer led the way with 22 points and Brandon Gries added 21.   Gries, a senior from Kiel, broke the school record for most made free throws in a career with 420.   The victory also broke the Midwest Conference record for most wins in a conference season at 17.  St. Norbert has yet to lose in conference play and they are now 21-1 overall.  They'll wrap up the regular season at home Saturday against Illinois College before hosting the MWC Tournament at the Schuldes Sports Center next week.

The St. Norbert women maintained a share of first place by beating Ripon 56-42.  Lana Tomashek was top scorer with 14 for the women (18-4, 15-2).
