MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - A joint investigation by state and local authorities has led to charges being filed against a Green Bay man who allegedly sold heroin to a man who died from an overdose.
Police say 41-year-old Clarence J. Wilson sold three bags of heroin, worth $125, to a 25-year-year-old man and a witness on June 27.
The victim was hospitalized in Green Bay after using one of the bags of heroin that same day. He was treated and released.
Then on June 28, authorities were called to a home in the Marinette County Town of Stephenson for a possible overdose. The man was pronounced dead at the home, after attempts to revive him failed.
Wilson remains at the Brown County Jail after being arrested on July 10.
A search of Wilson's home by police uncovered suspected heroin, a cell phone, scale and other drug paraphernalia.
