The Wisconsin TimberRattlers opened the 2014 season Thursday night and braved the chilly temperatures at Fox Cities Stadium before bowing to Peoria 8-4. Starting pitcher Taylor Williams wasn't to blame. He pitched five strong innings, allowing only 1 hit with seven strikeouts before departing. The Chiefs then erupted for 6 runs in the 7th inning against the T-Rats bullpen. The Brewers top draft choice in 2012, catcher Clint Coulter, hit a solo home run in the 9th inning. The two teams are scheduled to play game two of the series Friday night but the forecast doesn't look very promising. Day games are set for Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 1:05 PM.
