Kuhn returns, off-season dates set

The Packers will keep the "koooooooon" chanting fans happy for at least one more year.  The team has re-signed veteran fullback John Kuhn to a one year deal that will pay him just over a million dollars.  Reports say Kuhn will make a base salary of $850,000.00 with bonuses bringing the total into six figures.  While Kuhn has never produced big numbers in the running game or passing game, the numbers he has produced have endeared him to Packers fans.   Be it short yardage conversions, red zone touchdowns and more importantly, key blocks in pass protection like the chip on Julius Peppers that allowed Aaron Rodgers to hit Randall Cobb on the famous 4th down TD in Chicago, Kuhn does everything well.  He's also a corps special teams performer.  Kuhn has been with the Pack since 2007 and becomes the sixth free agent brought back to the team, joining Sam Shields, B.J. Raji, Andrew Quarless, Mike Neal and James Starks.

The team also released the dates for it's off-season workouts.   The training program will begin on April 22.  Organized team activities (league rules allow a maximum of 10 dates) will be held May 28-30, June 3-5 and June 10-13.   The mandatory mini-camp will take place June 17-19.   The training camp dates will be announced later.
