MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - The 5th annual Milwaukee Film Festival begins Thursday.
The annual event will feature 240 films from 44 countries.
The German film "Break-Up Man" will be Thursday night's highlight -- along with an opening night party and live music.
The festival runs for 15 days at several Milwaukee area theatres.
On September 29th, Tony and Emmy award-winning actress Elaine Stritch will appear after a move about her life called "Elaine Stritch ... Shoot Me."
The festival will also have children's movies along with documentaries, short films, and other features.
Attendance grew to over 50,000 last year, a 40 percent increase from 2011. More information is available at MKE Film.Org.
