UNDATED (WSAU)   A man grabbed Rep. Sean Duffy last night while yelling at him amid high tensions surrounding the government shutdown. The incident happened outside the U.S. Capitol while he was walking to vote on a series of bills. It's not clear what the man said.

The demonstrator grabbed Duffy’s arm. He was not hurt.

A spokesman for the second-term Republican says Duffy reported the incident to Capitol police as required under House of Representatives policy. Duffy has requested that no further action be taken. He has not commented on what happened.

A police spokesperson told the Associated Press that they were investigating “a simple assault on a member of Congress.”
