Wisconsin Badgers pull away late in 28-9 victory over Iowa

IOWA CITY, IA (WTAQ) - Wisconsin broke away in the second half Saturday to win at Iowa, 28-9. 

The 22nd-ranked Badgers were up 7-6 at the break. Senior running back James White scored two 4th quarter touchdowns, and he had 132 yards on the day. 

Joel Stave completed 11-of-19 passes for 144 yards, two scores, and an interception.

Wisconsin's last 12 victories have come by double-digit margins.

The Badgers remain a game behind Ohio State for the Big Ten Leaders' Division lead.  Wisconsin improved to 4-1 in the conference and 6-2 overall. 

Jake Rudock threw for 109 yards with an interception for Iowa. C.J. Beathard threw for 70 yards and an interception in relief. 

The Hawkeyes dropped to 2-3 in the conference and 5-4 overall. 

Wisconsin will host BYU in a non-conference game next Saturday.
