James Parrish will stand trial in Green Bay arson case

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A Green Bay man accused of trying to burn down a business will stand trial.

53-year-old James Parrish is facing charges of arson with a hate crime enhancer, first-degree recklessly endangering safety and carrying a concealed weapon.

Back in March, prosecutors say Parrish set a fire at the Dollar Land store, 1020 North Irwin Ave. The store was previously known as Beach Road Liquor.

Witnesses told police a man walked into the store and poured a liquid onto the cash register and set it on fire. Witnesses pointed Parrish out, walking away as authorities arrived.

Parrish is due back in court to enter a plea June 17.
