The Green Bay Bullfrogs never got to finish their season opening game Wednesday night in Wausau and they never got started in their home opener at Joannes Stadium Thursday night, falling to the Wisconsin Woodchucks 6-4. Wisconsin led 1-0 in the third inning Wednesay night when the game was postponed because of lightning. With weather threatening again Thursday, the Frogs gave up five runs in the first inning on five hits and two errors. A light rain fell during the middle innings as Green Bay tried to mount a comeback. St. Norbert sophomore Jose Godinez hit a two run homer and added an RBI single in the 8th to close the gap to 5-4 but Wisconsin tacked on an insurance run in the 9th. Green Bay travels to Lakeshore Friday night before returning home to play the Chinooks again at Joannes Saturday night at 7:05 PM.
