SUPERIOR, WI (WTAQ) - Federal workplace safety officials are investigating the death of an employee at a wood shingles plant in Superior.
He was identified Wednesday as 30-year-old David Clink of Superior.
The incident occurred Tuesday night at White Cedar Shingles and Lumber.
Authorities said Clink was working alone when his arm or clothing got caught in a conveyor belt – and he was asphyxiated after he got pinned against the machine.
A co-worker eventually found Clark and called 911.
Investigators from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration arrived at the plant Wednesday.
