MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - More than 283,000 names have been removed from Wisconsin's Statewide Voter Registration System.
The Government Accountability Board sent postcards out last month to about 300,000 voters who hadn't cast a ballot in the last four years.
Only rouhgly 16,000 poeple were returned the postcard asking their voter registration be contined.
The other names were purged from the list of active voters.
This means those names won't show up in the poll books if someone tries to vote in an election.
They will only have to re-register to get a ballot, though.
