OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - Police in Oshkosh are looking for a man and woman who attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill.
Authorities say it happened at an un-named business on April 27th. When a store employee realized the bill was fake, the woman grabbed it back and the two left.
Police remind businesses in Oshkosh and the Fox Valley to be on the lookout for counterfeit money, especially $100 bills. They recommend using a marking pen and checking other security features designed into the bill. Businesses that receive counterfeit bills should get a description of the suspects and any vehicles they may be driving and report the information to police.
