Brewers start fast, snap slide

by

The Milwaukee Brewers ended their five game losing streak by scoring five runs in the first inning and beating the Texas Rangers 6-3 at Miller Park Tuesday night.   Ryan Braun delivered an RBI single, Carlos Gomez brought home two runs with a double and Yuniesky Betancourt smashed his team leading 8th home run, a two run shot of Rangers starter Justin Grimm.  Aramis Ramirez hit his first homer of the season, a solo shot in the 7th. Willy Peralta worked six innings to get the win, improved to 3-2 by allowing five hits and three runs, two of them earned.   Milwaukee (15-16) wraps up the short, two game series Wednesday night with Kyle Lohse on the mound.  The Brewers then embark on a critical 10 game road trip against the three teams ahead of them in the National League Central Division standings, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and St. Louis.
