BELOIT, WI (WTAQ) - A man accused of causing a traffic death in Beloit was scheduled to be in court Thursday.
23-year-old Johnquayl Bell turned himself into police late Wednesday – and his passenger, 17-year-old Chatavier Bell-Johnson, was still being sought at last word.
Police said the two were traveling in a rental car at a high rate of speed when they blew a stop sign, and collided with a vehicle from their left.
That driver, 21-year-old Cassondra Sympson of Beloit, was killed after her vehicle overturned.
Three others in her vehicle – including a pair of kids under age-2 – were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the two men abandoned their car and fled the scene.
