The Milwaukee Brewers 8 game winning streak at Miller Park was snapped by the Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday afternoon as they rallied for a 6-4 victory. The Brewers built a 4-2 lead with a strong start from Hiram Burgos who went seven innings, allowing just two runs on four hits. Carlos Gomez and Yuniesky Betancourt went back to back with home runs for the second consecutive day. But in the 8th, former closer John Axford gave up four runs in just two-thirds of an inning, Starling Marte tied the game with a two run homer and Brandon Inge delivered the go ahead RBI single. Axford took the loss to fall to 0-3 and his ERA has swelled to 10.32. Milwaukee fans booed Axford on his way to the showers, The Brewers (14-12), welcome the division leading St. Louis Cardinals for the first a big, four game series beginning Thursday night.
