Fall Out Boy is readying a media blitz to support their new album Save Rock and Roll, due April 16, and they've also announced a fall arena tour.
The tour kicks off September 5 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and is right now scheduled to wrap up September 29 in Orlando, Florida. Tickets go on sale April 5 or April 6, depending on the city.
In addition, the group will be appearing on Good Morning America the day the album hits stores, and they'll also stop by Conan on April 17. More TV appearances are in the works.
Save Rock and Roll is Fall Out Boy's first album since 2008's Folie à Deux . It'll feature guest appearances by Elton John , Courtney Love and rapper Big Sean . The group recently released a video for "The Phoenix," which is a prequel to the video for the album's first single "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)." In a statement, the band says, "[The video] tells the tale of how we ended up blindfolded in the back of the black van in the [first] video. This is chapter 2 of 11. Stay tuned for chapter 3…”
