The Milwaukee Brewers and San Francisco Giants played 10 innings without either team scoring a run so they called it a 0-0 tie in Scottsdale Wednesday afternoon.  Chris Narverson, coming off major arm surgery last year, looked very good, pitching six innings and allowing only one hit with four strikeouts.  Both teams managed just five hits.  The Brewers meet the Chicago White Sox on Thursday.

The Brewers sent a minor league pitcher, Darren Byrd, to the Oakland A's Wednesday in exchange for third basemen Stephen Parker who will be assigned to the triple A club in Huntsville.
