The fallout from Michael Jackson 's death continues.  Recently, the deceased singer's three children, Prince , Paris and " Blanket ," along with their grandmother Katherine Jackson , filed a $40 billion lawsuit against AEG Live, the promoter of Michael's aborted This Is It tour.

According to TMZ , court documents filed by Jackson family members say AEG's negligence in hiring and the overall supervision of Dr. Conrad Murray contributed to Michael's death.  In November of 2011, Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for administering a fatal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol to the King of Pop.

Details of court papers include the Jackson children's request for $10 billion for the loss of future earnings and $50 million for other unspecified damages.

AEG dismisses the $40 billion figure as speculative.  TMZ reports that the promoter claims Michael's career was already in a downward slide due to child molestation allegations and his self-imposed exile in the Middle East.

This is not the first MJ-related lawsuit against AEG.  Several wrongful death lawsuits have been filed by Jackson family members and, in February, the singer's personal assistant Michael Amir Williams and others filed a class-action lawsuit against AEG for lost tour earnings.
