Picked to finish in the bottom half of the conference standings, the Wisconsin Badgers once again finished in the top four of the league race and for exceeding the expectations, Bo Ryan was named Monday as the Big Ten Coach of the Year. The Badgers finished 12-6 in the conference race, 21-10 overall and will be the number four seed in the conference tournament this week in Chicago. Trey Burke of Michigan was named the Big 10 Player of the Year. Wisconsin's Jarred Berggren was a second team all conference selection and was also named to the league's defensive team. Ben Brust earned all conference honorable mention and freshman Sam Dekker of Sheboygan was picked to the all-freshman team.
