Brewers kick away another

Now the gloves have gone bad on the Milwaukee Brewers.   Two more errors were costly in Thursday afternoon's 7-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park.  Wily Peralta was tagged for 8 hits and 7 runs in five innings of work but four of the runs were unearned.  One pitch after a Juan Francisco error should have ended the third inning, Dionner Navarro launched a three run homer for Chicago putting them up 6-0.  The Brewers got a run scoring double from Logan Schafer in the fifth inning and Francisco hit a solo home run in the 8th, the third straight game he went deep.  Matt Garza got the win for the Cubs (33-44) by working seven innings, allowing a run with 10 strikeouts.   Milwaukee (32-45) drops back into the basement in the NL Central and heads to Pittsburgh for the weekend.  Johnny Hellweg, a 6-9 right hander, acquired in the Zack Greinke trade and just called up from triple A Nashville, will make his starting debut for the Brewers.  Pre-game coverage begins at 5:30 PM on WTAQ.
