MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Home sales grew in every part of Wisconsin in May.
The state’s Realtors Association said Monday that its members sold over 7,300 existing homes in May – 18 percent more than in the same month a year ago. It was the 23rd straight month of positive sales growth.
The median sales price was $144,000, almost 4.5 percent more than in May of 2012. For the year as a whole, almost 26,000 existing houses were sold by Realtors. That’s up 13.2 percent from the first five months of last year.
The median sales price so far this year is $135,000 – $9,000 more than the year before.
