Tritons, Blue Devils play for titles

The WIAA state baseball tournament wraps up Thursday with four championship games and two area teams will play for titles.  The Notre Dame Academy Tritons beat Ellsworth 4-1 behind a five hitter from Dominick Golubiewski.   Notre Dame put up a run in the first without a hit and got a big knock from Alex Brault in a three run fifth, an RBI triple.   The Tritons started their tournament run with a sub-500 record and will now meet Lodi, a 6-1 winner over Waupun, in the Division 2 championship game at 3:00 PM.

The Oconto Blue Devils have a shot at their first state title after a come from behind, 4-3, 8 inning victory over Osseo-Fairchild.  Oconto scored three runs in the 6th to even the score and Bryce Bostedt lofted a fly ball to right that brought home the walk off run.   Oconto faces Westby in the Division 3 final at 12:00 PM.
