"Can't Hold Us," the latest single from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis , has just racked up a fifth week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and that means the duo is officially the most dominant act on the chart in 2013.
"Can't Hold Us" is the duo's second #1 single of the year, following "Thrift Shop," which spent six weeks at #1. The success of those two singles means that Macklemore & Lewis are now the only act to have had at least one song in the top ten every single week this year.
The duo had previously been tied with Bruno Mars for that feat, thanks to his smash hits "When I Was Your Man" and "Locked Out of Heaven," but this week, "When I Was Your Man" falls out of the top 10, leaving Macklemore & Lewis as the last men standing.
But there's more coming for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Another one of their tracks, "Same Love," is now climbing the charts. The song, which is about marriage equality, has sold more than half a million copies without even being released as an official single.
