The Milwaukee Brewers swept a day-night doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Tuesday afternoon, the Brewers rallied for a 6-5 victory. Yovani Gallardo had to leave the game in the 5th inning because of a tight hamstring. John Axford took over but the Cubs piled up five runs in the inning to lead 5-2. The Brewers responded with a four run rally in the 7th inning, highlighted by a pinch hit, three run homer from Khris Davis. Jean Segura, who homered earlier, brought home the go ahead run with an RBI double. In the nightcap, Juan Francisco went deep but the Cubs led 2-1 going into the ninth inning. Jeff Bianchi came through with a two out, two run single. Blake Badenhop got the win in relief of Tyler Thornburg who pitched six strong innings giving up no runs on four hits. Jim Henderson saved both games, giving him 14 on the season. The Brewers will go for a four game sweep Wednesday night, sending Wily Peralta against Edwin Jackson.
